"Haole Do It" is a television series that follows a mainland transplant (me) setting out to learn from many members of the community, including legendary Hawaiian musician Brother Noland, the lessons and importance of Hawaiian culture. In a lighthearted, educational and often humorous style, we'll watch as Adam learns the lay of the land he now calls "home."
In response to the pandemic, the Kahilu Theatre has launched Kahilu.TV, a premium streaming service that provides a global audience with Hawaiian music and culture. My role as creative producer involves a wide range of TV production elements. From shooting, editing, and writing, to livestreaming, graphic design, and promotion, our goal is to grow Kahilu.TV to as many paid subscribers as possible and spread Hawaiian entertainment and aloha.

While employed at "The Pet Collective" Youtube channel, I learned valuable lessons about digital content production and the world of new media. Responsibilities ranged from the usual Production Assistant/Coordinator duties (answering phones, delivering food, gathering props/wardrobe, keeping track of petty cash, setting up and removing production gear, etc.) to writing scripts for several series, doing voice-overs to help with production, acting in sketches, wrangling talent (people and animals), and any number of requests from a large number of editors, writers and producers.
As a Writers' Assistant, my job was to routinely work with a team of writers and producers as they developed episodes of a Disney sitcom ("Pair of Kings") from general "spit-balling" to outlines, then writer's drafts, all the way down the line to the shooting draft. This meant constant proofreading, a solid skill set in Final Draft and Microsoft Word, documenting network executives' notes, distributing scripts among cast and crew and occasionally having the opportunity to pitch jokes and/or plot points.
