Developed functional targets, responsible for benchmarking competition, data analysis and reporting to achieve weight optimization. Populated Tables with predictive weight data used for test weight classification, fuel economy calculations, spring selections, verification of weights to overall vehicle ratings. Proactively working with Product Planning, Engineering and Materials in determining Lightweighting strategies of vehicle platform. Completed training in current production weight reports and databases. •First 3 months in Quality, LuK Plant in Ohio – Responsible for reviewing near misses, Making quality alerts, Red tags, informing supplier QE and other internal departments for Quality issues which accounted for atleast 5% reduction in customer complaints than previous quarter. Completed First phase of Quality inspection standardization for the 5 Torque convertor lines (Mapping present inspection system). •Next 3 months in Kaizen/Kanban/Lean mfg., INA Plant in South Carolina – Completed Red circle projects on VCT, Central Valve and Chaku Chaku line which were 12 hour inspections to document all the problems & downtime on the lines. Created graphical summaries and short listing top 3 issues and presented them to the management and supervisors in the daily walkthroughs. The red circle projects were extremely successful in reducing the downtime by around 10% and increasing the production by 7%. •Process Focus Team for Plant 6: streamlined the production system by implementing 5s, improving workstation layouts (maximizing utilization of the available space), PM and TPM activities, control plans, part flow, Time Studies and PFMEA. Understanding of DMAIC process, Six Sigma, SPC, charting, Pareto, 8D. •Compiled Spare part lists for all the machines in the Machining and Assembly area in Plant 6 to create a master Mill supply list used to create the MIPS system which was the first time in 5 years. •Responsible for testing Steel and Aluminium material specimens from Automotive Stamping Suppliers like Drive and GESTAMP •Pre prepped the dogbone specimens by cleaning and etching grids followed by Tensile Testing on Instron UTM •Recorded and Analyzed Test Data using Bluehill3 software •Prepared executive presentations for Test result to be sent to the clients.
