Anthony Broussard's Expertise
  • I began programming and designing games after 8 years on this earth. At 17, I worked in Seoul as a game tester & designer for GoPets (later sold to Zynga). At 19, I worked as a Game Designer in for Bigworld Tech in Sydney for 2 years. In 2008 I returned to Houston and began teaching myself iOS Development. I got involved with the Houston iPhone Developers meetup. After winning an overnight competition to make an app overnight, I received a job offer from ChaiONE. I enjoyed 2 years with ChaiONE as they rapidly grew to become a leading devshop in Texas with clients from all over country. In the meantime I stayed involved with the local hackerspace, TXRX Labs. I taught several beginner & intermediate iOS and game development classes. I joined a startup formed by a few Rice PhD students relating to equity-based crowdfunding in the music industry. We were accepted into the first GigTank 2012 based out of CoLab in Chattanooga. While our company wasn't selected to be fully funded I enjoyed the growing technology center in Chattanooga and began developing my freelancing work with the tech community there while maintaining a small studio in Houston. I've built apps and web backends for a variety of clients, including Rice University, Bluelance cybersecurity firm, Pale Dot Voyage, FeltApp, ClickClickBoom and various start up companies.
