In my role as a process engineer, my responsibilities included process simulation, heat & material balances, process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), utility balances, line sizing, equipment sizing, control valve sizing, and relief valve sizing. Projects on which I have served as a process engineer include Outside Battery Limits (OSBL) of Crude Unit for light-tight oil, enhanced oil recovery/cogeneration, Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle (IGCC) coal gasification power plant projects, petrochemical technology transfer packages, biogum semi-works plant design, specialty chemical, food ingredients, finished foods, and consumer products. I have also worked in process safety management (PSM), including facilitating process hazard analyses (PHAs), collecting and tabulating process safety information (PSI), development of standard operating procedures (SOPs), and assisting clients in developing PSM plans. I have also worked on mechanical integrity inspections of ammonia refrigeration systems.
