The primary goal of my teaching is to make the study of music enjoyable yet challenging. I want music to be a lifetime passion, and I want that passion to continue throughout my students lives. I don’t expect them to go into the music profession, however I want them to continue enjoying and participating in music for the rest of their lives. I want to incorporate all the different elements of music into my teaching using many strategies to allow all my students to learn about the different elements. If my students have broad understanding of all the basic elements of music, I feel they can have successful music experiences in the future. I plan to use the newest techniques available to teach my students. I will also use the vast and continuously expanding base of music teaching technology that is available.
