As Training Manager, I ensured that instructors met minimum standards, trained new incoming instructors on the New Horizons model of training, coached existing instructors on ways to improve their teaching style, worked with the Sales Team to help construct training solutions that met the needs of their clients, establish individual instructor development plans to ensure that instructors were prepared for the latest technology and to meet the needs of business.
As Operations Manager, I built the center training schedule on a yearly basis, made sure instructors were given adequate prep time for new course materials, worked with the Sales Team to open training days for onsite or dedicated training, made sure that classes were delivered with a minimum level of profitability and fine-tuned the schedule if there were too many or too few training days for a given level of profitability. In addition to maintaining the training schedule, I also worked as a part of our testing center as an administrator, ensuring that testing provider policies were strictly adhered to by testers in our facility.
