Corey Parrott’s Expertise • Primary role is to create airworthiness substantiation documentation and complete analyses for modifications to existing military aircraft and integration of modified components based on customer specifications. • Completed stress/structural analysis (static, dynamic, and fatigue/DTA) through hand calculations (using standards such as MIL-HDBK and MMPDS and references such as Bruhn, Flabel, Roark, Niu). Used Excel (with Visual Basic developed macros), MATHCAD, and MATLAB for aid in hand calculations. • Used FEMAP and ANSYS for Finite Element Modeling. • Completed thermal analysis through hand calculations and ANSYS Thermal/Fluent modeling. Aid in development of thermal analysis standards and procedures for aero sciences team. • Worked closely with mechanical design in implementation of concurrent engineering standards/procedures. Aided design team in implementation of any required design changes to meet customer requirements early in design process to accelerate drawing release. • Completion of MRB training to become MRB certified.• Responsible for development of conceptual designs, engineering 3D models and 2D drawings using Catia V5 and AutoCAD in support of custom interior components, sub-assemblies and major assembly installations in G650 and G650ER aircraft. • Assist with maintenance of baseline engineering models and drawings by incorporation of product improvements and enhancements. Completed case study in Electronic Equipment Rack EMI gasketing design/production. Development of production standards and procedures following findings. • Investigation in Root Cause Analysis to design/installation errors/deficiencies. Effective communication with other engineers and mechanics in preventative efforts. • Primary Lean Six Sigma contact on team. • Worked under a Professional Engineer to design and detail (in CAD) a variety of structures including commercial buildings, bridges, residential buildings, etc. • Acquired thorough experience in design of structures for both gravity and lateral loads (most notably: wind).
