- I am currently a Professor of Management at Missouri State University where I teach Organizational Behavior & Leadership as well as Strategic Management & Policy. I have also recently started teaching a course called Management in Action. I love teaching this new course, because it involves taking groups of undergraduate business majors to visit local organizations where managers can share their experiences with the students, and students have the opportunity to ask questions in real-time. My primary research interests fall under the umbrella of interpersonal relationships in the workplace, including both positive and negative supervisor-subordinate relationships (mentoring and abusive supervision) as well as workplace friendships. I am also interested in the job search process. My research has been published in the Journal of Applied Social Psychology, Journal of Business and Psychology, Group & Organization Management, Journal of Management, Journal of Organization Behavior, and Personnel Psychology. I am currently serving as an editorial board member for the Academy of Management Review and as an associate editor for Group and Organization Management. I am also the owner and Program Director for The Edification Agency, LLC.
