He retired as a Master Sergeant having served in a variety of command and staff positions, his military career culminated as a Technical Escort Team Leader during Operation IRAQI FREEDOM where he was awarded the Bronze Star for meritorious leadership and mission accomplishment while engaged in eliminating adversarial Weapons of Mass Destruction. David grew up on the water and sailed the Great Lakes and much of the Atlantic from Maryland to Saint Lucia with his parents. He is a proud husband to Wife Jennifer Brand, J.D., AAC, (DHS CRCL), they reside in Ashburn Virginia and are both avid cyclists and runners.
