•Plan, organize, and direct day-to-day lab operations, placing a strong emphasis on safety protocols, training and procedures. •Manage budget, conduct year-end reviews, and develop personnel scheduling. •Ensure thorough training and documentation of new and updated lab procedures to maintain compliance and mitigate risks. • Provide comprehensive safety training, chemical analysis training, and instrumentation training to lab personnel and related production departments •Successfully achieve stability on lab prototypes by implementing accelerated testing environments developed by Formulation Research Chemists. •Conduct root cause analysis on out-of-specification items, identifying and rectifying safety and quality issues. •Assist Quality in process and product validation through documentation and testing regimen. •Oversee the scale-up process of newly developed formulations, ensuring critical-to-quality specifications while training production personnel on process and safety protocols of new procedures. •Utilize failure mode and risk analysis techniques to identify potential hazards and implement preventive measures. •Communicate and enforce safety procedures for new processes and materials, minimizing risks •Maintain and update the chemical hygiene plan for the lab, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
