Edward Swanson’s Expertise Experienced, hands on Solutions Architect "Datacenter - Cloud" (Network, Compute, Storage, Virtualization & Converged Solutions) with over 14 years federal experience in support of DOD, Civilian, Independent Agencies & NGO's. Working in close partnership with sales, customers and vendor partners; responsibilities have included the design, presentation and proposal of state of the art Datacenter solutions as well as the development of project implementation plans, handover documentation, customer orientation training; performance of onsite equipment installation to include configuration and integration into customer environment. Key partners include: APC, Arista, BlueCoat, Brocade, Cisco, Citrix, Clearcube, Commvault, Coraid, Dell, EMC, Emerson, F5, HPE, Hitachi Data Systems, IBM, Liebert, Microsoft, Mellanox, NetApp, QLogic, Red Hat, Symantec, Tintri, Veritas, VMware. Pre-Sales support responsibilities include: develop client specific engagement strategies; engage with existing and potential clients through outbound call campaigns and customer facing meetings; develop and provide product training to the sales force (technology overview, how to position, recognize opportunities etc); qualifying opportunities; design/develop solutions to include business justification, & proof of concept, project implementation plan, handover documentation, customer orientation training as well as participating in RFP, RFQ & RFI response teams. Post-Sales support responsibilities include: onsite installation of equipment, providing as built documentation (B.O.M., rack elevations, diagrams & port maps and how to guides); resource provisioning; equipment management; troubleshooting\resolution; resource utilization reporting and audits; site assessment\analysis on: network, compute, storage infrastructure and their effectiveness in meeting mission readiness and performance capabilities; conduct\deliver training; as well as conduct senior management and command level briefings.
