I am particularly interested in working with underrepresented—particularly Latine—populations to better inform public policy, promote positive behavioral processes, and seek to mitigate systemic adversity. I enjoy the camaraderie and increased productivity that come from working on a team. Clear communication and a supportive atmosphere are key ingredients to an effective work environment. My personal style is warm and collaborative. I most enjoy building rapport through empathy and finding common ground. Broadly, I am interested in mindfulness, adaptive parenting, diversifying research and novel interventions, and the implementation of culturally humble adaptations of third-wave CBT modalities in family systems.
