  I started out in the business industry but realized that wasn't exactly what I wanted to do. While I was in school at IUS, I was working at the YMCA and Substitute teaching in the district where I live. Eventually, I graduated and got a job as an instructional assistant at the Alternative School in Bullitt County. From there if I wanted to get a teaching job I had to get my teaching certificate. I enrolled in the University of the Cumberlands accelerated program to get my Teaching Certificate in Special Education. I have been working as a Special Education teacher for 5 years now and during that time I have had lots of roles. I coached Volleyball for 4 years at the middle school level, I am the Mental Health Support Coach for my school and I am also the Innovative Media Coordinator at my school as well. I run our school's website and we use technology a lot when teaching and working with our students. I'm always willing to learn something new and expand my knowledge in every area that I can.
