My experiences as a classroom teacher prior to becoming a school social worker has helped my understanding of how individuals develop as they get older and how to help everyone work together to assist the individual and family for the best result possible. My experiences of student teacher in Grand Rapids Public Schools, at an orphanage in South Africa, and teaching in Uganda have helped me experience numerous types of diversities and the impacts they can have. I look forward to continuously learning about individuals, cultures, and whatever information in which I am presented.
