Responsibilities:  I’ve Worked Turnaround, Decommissioning of Decks with Mercury, and NORM, Construction along with E&I, Safety Audits.  I’ve conducted safety meetings with employees / Create Safety Topics on a daily basis.  I’ve provided assistance to line supervisors for risk management activities, including hazard identification and task risk assessments.  I’ve identified safety hazards and taken the necessary actions to minimize or alleviate incidents, wrote Hot Work Permits.  I’ve conducted incident investigations and complete reports as needed.  I’ve conducted daily walkthroughs and inspections on the worksite and other designated locations as needed.  I’ve maintained the HSE central action tracking register at the worksite and followed up with supervisors on closing action items.  I’ve tracked Near Miss and created trend analysis.  I’ve conducted Basic Orientation.

• Built and maintained a strong customer relationship with customers, contractors, and vendors. • Managed the supervision at the 3 ship yard facilities (Stephensville, Berwick, and Baldwin) with a workforce of over 250 employees. • Completed bids for multi-million dollar barge repairs as well as new construction bids. • I’ve been involved in the process of obtaining multi-million dollar barge contracts. • I’ve planned and coordinated the purchasing of materials needed to complete each project. • I’ve scheduled man hours to make productivity more cost efficient, saving the company money. • I’ve established and maintained ship repair budgets. • I’ve read and understood blue prints and specifications for all projects. • Met with ABS Class Surveyors and Coast Guard to establish inspection plans on projects, prepared for, and carried out inspections with Class. • I’ve planned and conducted the launching of barges and vessels in conjunction with a heavy lift contractor. • I’ve managed the installation of a barge side launch system, built from the ground up. • I’ve managed multiple tandem crane lifts. • I’ve oversaw the erection of dry dock sections and then supervised the installation of this dry dock. • I’ve supervised the demolition of an old Navy dry dock system. • I coordinated the opening of a new dry dock and top side repair facility bringing in new costumers and more revenue. • I’ve established two new construction facilities with CNC table and brake press; increasing productivity and lowering costs. • Planned projects to minimize delays, maximize efficiency and ensure a smoothly run project. • Participated in OSHA safety audits with workers comp representatives. • I’ve ensured that all of the HSE performance of all disciplines and subcontractors is in accordance with contractual HSE commitments. • I’ve conducted periodic walkthroughs and inspections at worksites and other designated locations to make sure production deadlines are being met.

Worked my way up from Roller/Press Brake operator through Fitting Supervisor to Safety Technician. -Conducted Safety Inspections and accident investigations. -Conduct safety meetings, and maintain safety records. -Submitted weekly safety reports to management. -Supervised over 20 fitter, trained in blue print reading, during my tenure as fitting supervisor. -Obtained Competent person certification.
