  I have been in the Electrical Utility Industry for over 30 years. I consider it a privilege to say I was trained by some true craftsman. It has been an honor to work with the line crews and shifts that I have been on, to work for the supervision that I have been under, and the Senior Managers and Executives that consider front line employees vital to the success of the company. Most of them gave us what we needed to be able to do our job safely and with our customers as a priority but with our Safety as the #1 priority. In my 30 plus years, I have worked many nights, many tornados, many hurricanes, many ice storms and heat waves and bitter cold. I have worked as the groundman, the apprentice, the journeyman, the senior lineman, the operations coordinator and as a System Operator. I have been a Safety Chairman, safety leader. I was a charter member to a Behavior Based Safety team (S.T.A.N.D) that made huge changes to our safety culture at that time. I have been a part of a new Outage Management Process team the consolidated multiple outdated programs into one. I have seen some pretty remarkable accomplishments in my career also. Hurricane Andrew was a beast on the coast in 1992. The 1994 Ice storm in Southeast Arkansas was devastating to our system, snowstorms in Alabama that we drove all night to get to. Hurricane Katrina and Rita, Harrison Ice Storm, that took 2 weeks to restore the system. Driving a line truck in downtown St Louis to help our neighbors at Ameran. Way too many thunderstorms, tornadoes and straight-line winds to list. I have seen historic floods that flooded our substation and historic cold temperatures that strained the system as much as anything could. With all of those events and challenges, we made it, I made it. I love my job and my career. I am Blessed indeed. Entergy
