Jennifer Young’s Expertise Jen Young, M.C. conducts group and personal ceremonies in Washington, DC to bridge the divide change makers and creatives can experience between their work and their soul expression. In-person ceremonies incorporate yoga, meditation, music, creative movement and arts & crafts with plant medicine. Jen primarily offers Cacao or Egyptian Blue Water Lily (Nymphaea Caerula) medicines during her ceremonies. Yoga helps Jen harness all the dynamic aspects of her interests, skills, values and passions. Through personal practice, she seeks to calm and direct her energy while relaxing resistance and tension. Jen is a Yoga Alliance EYT-200 registered yoga teacher. She teaches yoga at Bhakti Yoga DC and Crunch Fitness. Each Winter/Spring, she instructs for the Bhakti Yoga DC 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training. Meditation and sound healing are not separate from yoga for Jen. Her cushion and her drum are right there next to her mat, so she can flow from asana practice to breathwork to meditation and drumming. Jen guides meditation classes and offers Medicine Drum sound healings at recharj and Take Five Meditation studios. Ultimately, Jen's work is about personal growth through physical movement, creativity, imagination and connection to the natural world. Because when people have the tools they need to heal and express who they authentically are, the world also heals.
