Throughout her years as a journalist, she’s covered extreme weather across the world, including Hurricane Harvey’s impact in Central Texas in 2017; Typhoon Soudelor’s devastation on Saipan in the Northern Mariana Islands in 2015; and she lived through Superstorm Sandy in New Jersey in 2012. In 2015, during Typhoon Soudelor and in its aftermath on Saipan, she spent days broadcasting valuable, life-saving information to the audience and telling the personal stories of the islanders who were struggling without power, running water and shelter. Jillian is a proud Trojan, graduating from the Annenberg School of Journalism at the University of Southern California. In her free time, she enjoys working out, trying new restaurants, listening to country music and spending time with her family and friends.
