Justin has been involved in the supplier diversity community since 2006, in a previous company (Merck Sharp & Dohme) after a number of sourcing and procurement management roles Justin led Merck’s expansion of their Supplier Diversity Program into Europe and South Africa as a dedicated Supplier Diversity Manager. Justin also held the role of Chairman of the Board of Directors for MSDUK between 2013-14 as well as a Director of WEConnect for 6 years until the end of 2022. For Justin the actions behind the words are more important, creating opportunity and promoting the use of suppliers from disadvantaged groups is key to the future success of Procurement teams as they move beyond savings and into true value creation, especially when talking in an ESG (environmental, social, and governance) context. His vision in the procurement model of the future is delivering socioeconomic impact not only for the Corporations but more importantly the community in which they operate through demonstrating innovation and value over and above just the contract or deals that are put in place. Currently Justin is working with MSDUK as a partner bringing is many years of Procurement and Supplier Diversity experience developing an exciting new concept for Corporate members where from 2024 MSDUK will be able to offer Learning and Development Opportunities as well as Consultancy Services focused on European Supplier Diversity.
