Karen Jarnagin is a Had a professional career with the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, Departments of Probation, Parks & Recreation, Consumer Affairs and Health Services (DHS). The majority of my time was spent in the DHS handling legislation at the state and federal levels, serving on numerous state/federal committees, and I was part of the six-member management team involved in reorganizing the DHS consisting of 25,000 employees. As part of the reorganization effort I was responsible for coordinating and facilitating with over 100 outside consultants; organized labor; and the DHS management, hospitals, comprehensive health centers, public health centers, and other parts of the Department. As a result the DHS was streamlined and continuity of care was improved. Also worked on Contracts and Grants. I am now retired. I am a Certified Spiritual Director, honor all religions, and specialize with people in crisis.
