• Responsible for selling 60% of the projected revenue for all Visit Seattle publications, roughly 1.1 million market.
• Work as the independent Senior Account Executive in the Visit Seattle office to an account base of 1,000 accounts including all national accounts.
• Act as a leader and knowledgeable resource in helping redevelop 2013 publications under new publishing company.
• Accountable for developing new business through new Visit Seattle partners, non-partners, networking, cold calling and general prospecting.
• Act as a trusted representative for Visit Seattle.
• Responsible for driving ad sales revenue through multiple media channels, including travel print guides and online, as official marketing partner of Seattle’s Convention & Visitors Bureau.
• Consult hospitality industry on the most cost effective and strategic advertising options to reach their target audience and maximize their awareness in the market with extensive knowledge of the travel industry.
• Exceptional ability to work independently and provide outstanding customer service to a database of 600+ accounts.
• Responsible for developing new business through referrals, networking, cold calling and general prospecting.
• Act as a trusted representative for Seattle’s Convention & Visitors Bureau.
• Responsible for handling complex social and local corporate catering opportunities that are above sales office parameters.
• Responsible for contracting and closing local catering and social business and ensure that business is turned over properly and in a timely fashion for quality service delivery.
• Responsible for achieving catering revenue goals by actively up-selling each business opportunity to maximize revenue.
• Respond to incoming catering opportunities for the hotel and handle all walk in leads.
• Identify, qualify and solicit new catering business to achieve personal and hotel revenue goals.
• Responsible for quick and efficient sales response to daily inquiries utilizing aggressive pro-active selling and solicitation tools for thirteen (13) Marriott Hotels including convention hotel, resort hotel and eight (8) select service and extended stay hotels throughout San Diego.
• Saturate existing accounts and develop new opportunities through prospecting, tele-prospecting, outside sales calls and site visits.
• Design creative, high-impact proposals and site visits to close business.
• Assist with the training of hotel strategies, sales skills and computer systems for all new sales managers.
• Develop new and existing accounts to exceed revenue goals through telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, site inspections and written communication.
• Participate in daily Revenue Maximizing meeting, Pre-Convention Meetings, training and other sales-related meetings as required.
• Collaborate with all departments of hotel and keep open lines of communication to meet customer satisfaction.
• Develop/maintain knowledge of market trends, competition and customers.
• Assisted in a North East Sales Call to top pharmaceutical and third party clients.
• Responsible for assisting three sales managers with high volume business.
• Daily duties consist of developing contracts, proposals and any necessary administrative correspondence with key clients.
• Responsible for maintaining interdepartmental relations and communication between operations and sales team.
