Serves as the primary point of contact for the President’s Office, handling all day-to-day functions within the office in an efficient and professional manner.
Professionally represents the President when greeting guests, organizing company events, reviewing correspondence, and responding to inquiries made to the president.
Delivers a high level of discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information – including emails, calls, and office visits from other university employees, donors, Board members, students, etc.
Organizes and coordinates the President’s activities through a complex calendar, including the management of events, meetings, and travel.
Creates itineraries and agendas for travel.
Schedules Presidential travel, to include first-class airline reservations, car services, and hotel reservations.
Works with the catering department to plan special lunches between the President and guests.
Completes and submits expense reports for travel to off-campus meetings, when needed.
Receives documents needing presidential signatures from multiple on-campus departments; delivers said documents with signature in a timely fashion.
Maintains multiple department calendars, ensuring that there is no conflict with meetings, conferences, and appointments.
Works with the Development team to coordinate presidential meetings with major donors and prospective donors. (local and travel)
Serves as the assistant secretary to Furman University's Board of Trustees
Assists with the planning and preparation of the Board of Trustee’s meetings. To include building a Board Book via OnBoard, transcribing Board meeting minutes, and other duties as needed.
Maintain office files in a manner consistent with university standards.
Liaison between employees and human resources management, located in Charlotte, NC. – Interpreted policies and procedures, resolved issues, relayed pertinent information and changes, etc.
