I assessed students academic abilities by proctoring practice exams. Once I knew where they were, I was able to give them the necessary work to increase their scores. Most of the time I would tutor them personally. Some chose to do their work individually. I would then retest students and continue the process until they were ready to take and pass the master tests.

I'm a Christian, a husband of 20+ years, father of 5 (3 daughters, 2 sons). I love to hunt, fish, trap, and gather subsistence foods. I'm also a pastor of a non-denominational house church here in Kotzebue and focus a lot of my energy toward youth. I help with a suicide prevention youth camp each spring as well as run our own youth camps up the Noatak River every summer. We're now about 50% complete with a Men's/Boy's Subsistence Shop (Qargi in Eskimo). We'll set up mentorships to help young boys and teens through their stages into manhood. Lord willing we hope to someday open up a youth center, a coffee shop, and a hair salon here!
