Lyle Barker's Expertise After 30 + years in chemical plant operations that experience prepared me to fit right into the gas processing industry. I have a very high level in reading and understanding P&ID documents used on a daily basis. During daily routine operations there are needs to LOTO a piece of equipment or section of the process for that matter. Working in the gas industry adds a hightened sense of awareness in safety and understanding the differences between normal and abnormal conditions. As an operator, I've obtained the skills to understand processes through DCS control and delta V. Cause and effect understanding in gas processing procedures is a daily task that requires great attention. I have 16+ plus years experience as a welder working in chemical process. I love working in the gas industry and understand it in all aspects. During the 9+ years I have been involved in gas processing our facilty has added on two more complete processing additions. During the building of those expansions operators were exposed to being involved in the commissioning of those units. PSSR safety review before starting new units exposes operations to all the new equipment and it's purpose. Currently I have 6 1/2 years as a frac board operator with complete understanding of the process and the control scheme of DCS and DeltaV operation. Currently with a large upturn in the amount of NGL that we will process daily offers up new challenges of the operation and it's controlled limits within.
