Maurice Rached’s Expertise EXPERIENCE Mr. Rached spent the first half of his career with the State of New Jersey Department of Transportation focusing on traffic safety, traffic operations, and public outreach. In 2001, he moved to the private sector, where he has been involved with transportation planning, land-use planning, large scale projects, transportation engineering, and international consulting. He is currently retained by the governments of Iraq and Ecuador to consult on transportation planning, urban planning, and sustainability. He was previously retained by the Republic of Cyprus to assist them in developing various planning documents for the capital, Nicosia. In 2007, he was invited by the Chinese government to lecture on highway safety. In 2008, he moderated a panel of experts on Transit Oriented Developments at NJPAC before an audience of over 500 elected officials, developers, and other participants. In 2010, he made a presentation at the United Nations in New York and participated in a round-table discussion with other experts on Sustainable Practices. In 2014, he moderated the New Jersey Intelligent Transportation System Strategic Plan. Mr. Rached is a New Jersey licensed Professional Engineer (PE) and a certified Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE). He has taught various courses as an adjunct professor at Rutgers University and TCNJ.
