-Monitor for indicators of external loss (shoplifters). Respond as outlined in the Loss Prevention Manual.
-Monitor for indicators of internal loss. Report any and all circumstances or incidents to the Loss Prevention District Manager or Corporate Loss Prevention.
-Assist and respond to specific task assigned during an investigation conducted by Corporate Loss Prevention.
-Maintain confidentially concerning all conversations, printed matter, electronic data, phone messages, and other Loss Prevention business conducted within the scope of the Loss Prevention Agent’s position.
-Complete all reports as assigned or outlined in the Loss Prevention Manual.
-Conduct operational reviews as assigned or outlined in the Loss Prevention Manual.
-Perform all duties as assigned.
-Controls the unexplained loss of merchandise and improves profitability
-Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments
-Detects, deters, investigates, and resolves violations of company policies and criminal activities
-Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity
-Manages facility level training and execution of asset protection and safety functions
-Monitors safety and risk controls within a facility
-Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates
-Supervises the Asset Protection Associate (APA) program

-Verify incoming merchandise and report discrepancies through report writing
Principle Responsibilities:
-Conducts internal investigations of dishonesty
-Conducts surveillance and apprehension of external theft suspects
-Conducts system tests of alarms
-Conducts audits/inspections of operational procedures, safety issues, and other shortage control procedures.
-Completes all statistical and incident reports
