  I'm good at what I do because my professional work is personal. Here's my story: I lived in five different homes in three states before graduating high school, so I know about being new. In college, I held a variety of part time jobs, my favorite being a hotel concierge downtown San Diego. At work, I grew to appreciate VIP-level service and a culture where most anything was possible. Christmas tree in July? No problem! I don’t wear the fancy hotel uniform anymore, but I still live by the phrase, “The answer is yes. What’s the question?” Serving others comes naturally and I’m a fierce advocate for newcomers and underdogs, because I’ve been in their shoes. Years after leaving the hotel, I raised money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society by training and finishing a full marathon. I was inspired for 26.2 miles and got myself across the finish line, not because of the Nike T-shirt and San Francisco fireman holding the Tiffany necklace, but because I could and kids with leukemia couldn’t. Being the new kid so often growing up was hard and as a result, I'm highly intuitive and build meaningful relationships quickly. Both strengths have contributed to my success as an award-winning salesperson and leader of teams. I'm a lifelong learner and recently earned a graduate degree in Organization Development from the Graziadio Business School at Pepperdine University. The global curriculum helped me expand my world views through client interventions in Washington D.C., China, Costa Rica, and France. In 2016 I experienced transition through the eyes and hearts of over thirty service members by standing up a new transition assistance program at MCB Camp Pendleton. I became known for talking straight, earning trust, doing things differently and changing lives. When one retiring Marine admitted to being afraid of his transition and reintegration, I knew that our society had a problem. At that moment I knew that I was uniquely qualified to help that Marine and many more service members like him. Today, I use my voice to build bridges between veterans and employers, minorities and majorities, underdogs and their brighter futures...because I can.
