o Transport and Optical Communications Integration Focus Area (IFA) Lead ­ Perform functional decomposition and document open designs ­ Perform end-to-end design closure leveraging functional decompositions ­ Define mission requirements (PRD) and verification methods ­ Responsible for being aware of vendor developments, trades, and verification activities ­ Responsible for maintaining Optical Inter-Satellite Links (OISL) standard and understanding OISL operational constraints ­ Perform RF and Optical link budget analyses and conduct vendor document reviews o Trenche Zero Transport Layer (T0TL) System-to-Segment Lead ­ Support Space Development Agency (SDA) segment-level design reviews, PMRs, and working-level meetings ­ Review segment-level documents and provide information/updates to MSE&I teams as needed ­ Maintain requirements/verification traceability between system and segment briefing system-level impacts of segment waiver request at ERBs, work with T0TL segment to evaluate impact of system-level requirement changes ­ Determine if system-level RFIs can be satisfied with existing segment level documentation. o Trenche Zero Transport Layer (T0TL) Lead RF Systems Engineer ­ Perform Space-to-Ground (C2, TT&C, Link-16) link budget and other analyses, e.g. doppler, time delays, and other propagation phenomena, analyzing the impact of such effects on systems/subsystem performance in support of customer requirements and vendor design objectives ­ Assess the performance capabilities of T0TL vendors’ design proposals ­ Review and evaluate vendor/sub-contractor technical documentation, test reports, engineering memos for accuracy, consistency, and relevance in addressing customer requirements ­ Provided input to Systems Architect to develop architectural and technical schematics showing operational functions, data, physical connections etc., between the segment’s various sub-elements ­ Support requirements verifications and traceability between segment and system
