While in the position of director I was responsible for the security and safety of the campus. This included the guard program, fire and safety alarms, video surveillance, parking enforcement, elevator safety, campus safety committee, emergency management, and local agency liaison. Conducted training for the Western Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators basic security academy in areas of photography, crime prevention and constitutional law.

Began career as an officer and completed career as Captain. Specialized in radio and E-911 communications, special event planning (athletic events, VIP visits) with experience managing a security guard program, crime prevention and police patrol operations. Extensive training through the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission and Northwest Law Enforcement Executive Command College. Conducted in-house training on various topics. Was involved with planning and commanding protection operations for visiting dignitaries in cooperation with the Secret Service, Diplomatic Security Services, Washington State Patrol. Established security plans for large public events such as collegiate football, public demonstrations.
