• Coordinate communication, product distribution, and transportation of Northern Virginia and the District of Columbia warehouse operations. • Maintain close communication and contact with Food Resources Office with regard to scheduled pick-ups, deliveries, and special events. • Develop Standard Operating Procedures as required to create an atmosphere of cross-training, including drivers. • Monitor the receiving, storage, and distribution of all items received either from donors or through CAFB purchases to ensure proper rotation of stock and adherence to first-in, first-out (FIFO) standards and ensuring accurate inventory reports. • Plan and coordinate work and training so as to monitor and evaluate the performance of operations staff. • Enforce all federal and state Department of Transportation laws, regulations, and procedures pertaining to the truck fleet, drivers, and transportation program to ensure compliance. • Demonstrates a continuous effort to improve customer service and streamline work processes to reduce transportation costs. • Ensure CAFB drivers and truck fleets are operating in an efficient manner by utilizing current technology and truck routing and/or tracking system. • Plan and coordinate safe driving training for all drivers to ensure all vehicles are being operated in a safe manner to reduce preventable accidents and minimize insurance claims. • Responsible for distribution center cleanliness and sanitation, safety, and standards set forth by the CAFB, Feeding America, Fairfax County, and the Commonwealth of Virginia.

• Responsible of overseeing the inflow and outflow of goods from one point to another. • Supervised and trained all department team members. • Developed and maintained professional working relations with customers, vendors, and associates. • Supervised and assisted with the daily logistics of the club including the shipping and receiving of all cargo. • Compiled records concerned with quantity, cost, and type of merchandise received, in stock, or issued. • Ensured the manifests for all shipments were processed. • Stored and/or removed materials of various sizes and weights throughout the warehouse including but not limited to crates, various foods, furniture, electronics, and HAZMAT. • Investigated and reported all irregularities by matching invoices with database. • Implemented logistics policies and regulations that pertain to storage, shipping, and handling of various materials. • Complied with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s safety standards within the receiving, and damage and defective areas. • Assisted in the coordination of the cycle inventory process. • Acted daily as manager on duty of entire BJ’s Club.
