Before my consultancy career I worked at ASELSAN (Leading Defense Company in Turkey) as laser scientist for about 10 years. My specialty was laser design, passive optical design, electro-optics design, and system engineering. I designed various solid state lasers for defense applications such as target designators and range finders (both eye safe and non-eye safe) which are already being used in the field and sold in quantities of hundreds to thousands unit per year. I have also broad and indepth experience in laser counter measure systems where multiple stages of frequency conversion in the IR band is necessary. Moreover, from my PhD and Postdoc studies, I attained significant experience with various types of laser units from dye to gas and solid state lasers, including various types of femtosecond and picosecond amplifier systems which usually requires meticulous maintenance schedules. In conjunction with such knowledge, I obtained valuable experience regarding with spectroscopic techniques along with its varieties (Time resolved and Raman spectroscopy), non-linear optical applications, micro and Nano-fabrication techniques, lithographic methods, MEMS devices, NSOM, AFM, SEM, FTIR and other similar characterization/fabrication methods.
