In 2022 I won the 'Best Pitch Delivery' prize for my 'Music and The Mind' show through UQ Ventures Curiosity Program at The University of Queensland. As a Founder, my startup combines both live performances of my original pop songs with dialogue about my music and mental health work. Between live performances, I sit and chat candidly with an interviewer about some of the stories and meaning behind my songs. The audience is invited to join the conversation and ask questions about my music and mental health work. The aim of the concert is to create social change in the community by helping to normalise and destigmatise conversations about our mental health. In 2022 I had the amazing privilege of collaborating with Melbourne group, Choir of Hard Knocks singing my R U OK inspired song 'Matter' as a virtual choir video, and at their first live public performance in three years since lockdowns ended at the Docklands to help spread mental health awareness. In 2023 I received the QUT Learning and Teaching Unit (LTU) Reward and Recognition Award for 'Positive Impact - for staff who have positively impacted staff or student learning, engagement, or the overall staff or student experience' for my work leading and managing the Stories Careers Project.
