  I am a Trainee Accountant currently studying towards AAT Level 4. I have a strong academic background having studied a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science and also 3 A-Levels - Accounting, Business Studies and Early Modern History. Having previously worked in Asda after finishing university. Working through the pandemic during such a difficult time was a big challenge, as their was low levels of stock at times and the procautions altered the way we worked. I gained vaulable experience in how companies and inventory management works on a large scale. I managed to gain my first full Accountancy experience in my current job. Studying and working at the same time has allowed me to quickly get up to speed with all aspects of Accounting, as well as building on my existing knowledge. The Accounting practice I work in has a wide range of clients which gives me exposure to a lot of different business types and industries. I have gained knowledge about Self Assessment tax returns, VAT preparation, Assets, Dividends, Directors' Loan Account, Shares Issues, loans and accounting for a range of different business expenses. I hope to continue learning as an Accountant, learning about about all the adjustments made at year end.
