In order to maximize the effects of any molecular therapeutic strategy, we must invoke chemical biology and consider the structural, mechanistic, and biological aspects of the drug delivery platform. Beyond synthetic chemistry, I am interested in intellectual property and how it affects the course of research and technological development. I also enjoy integrating new disciplines into my work through collaboration and learning from more experienced colleagues. Life-threatening infectious diseases and cancer are the two focal points of my research.
