This continued on into the private sector with several, usually church sponsored programs till I was finally paroled in my early 40's, during this time I had also become the father of a daughter and son. I then moved into Social Work areas dealing with Vietnamese resettlement efforts for a couple of years. During this time I also completed several professional courses in administration as well as group/individual/family therapy, completing 8 quarters of CPE ( 2 years of supervisd clinical pastoral education)as a layman with the Lutheran Church in America,that also allowed me to become a member of the AAMFT ( to which I belonged for a period of more than 15 years). All subsequent work transitioned me into an entirely new field of Life insurance, Long Term Care, Estate and Financial Planning etc.,to which I subsequently earned a CLU, ChFC, RHU, CLTC CASL .
