While in Mesquite, I presented at multiple conferences on best practices, served as a model classroom, and my students continually achieved at the top of my campus and district in all subject areas and grade levels in which I taught. I have served as an instructional specialist and multi-classroom leader in Waco ISD where I have the opportunity to mentor and coach teachers, serve on the leadership team to make campus level decisions, implement data driven instruction and other campus and district initiatives, and coordinate a variety of programs on campus that are vital to student growth and success. In May of 2021, I received my Master of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of North Texas where I also maintained a 4.0 GPA. Additionally, I completed my Principal as an Instructional Leader certification as well as my Advancing Educational Leadership certification and my TTESS appraiser certification. I am a passionate, results-oriented, and coachable educator and leader who is hungry to continue to grow my own skills in educational leadership. My passion for not only closing achievement gaps but also dismantling and redesigning the systems that create them is what drives me to want to be a leader in education, particularly in Title I schools.
