Achieved a high rate of successful wells by continuous formation evaluation and effective onsite geo steering decisions across different geological settings Onsite experience of drilling exploratory and developmental wells at the onshore fields near the desert town of Barmer in Jodhpur district of Rajasthan, India. The geological setting was characterised by surface clastics followed by Claystones with the pay zone characterised by intercalated Claystone, Siltstones and Sandstones followed by igneous basement. Highlights: The desert location posed challenges of extreme weather and harsh drilling conditions. Most of the locations were exploratory sites with extensive geological studies including conventional coring and detailed logging operations. Worked as Consultant Wellsite Geologist at Mumbai-Gujarat offshore with shallow water depths. This was a short term campaign with two exploratory wells planned with detailed subsurface studies. Highlights: Instrumental in commissioning the drilling campaign from initial stage till DST testing during the Corona pandemic with all protocols followed.
