Andrew is involved with State Mines Rescue Competitions throughout Australia as Adjudicator for Underground Search & Rescue and other scenarios. Andrew participates as an advisor on Emergency Management Committees Australia wide assisting with the development of the Emergency Response Guidelines. Some of Andrew’s major achievements throughout his career range from conducting site emergency response capability reviews for Surface & Underground operations on an international scale, development and construction of a state mines rescue training facility. Along with rescues/recoveries including Pike River New Zealand, Blakefield South NSW mine recovery, Copper Mines of Tasmania, and Henty Gold Mine Operations. Andrew’s knowledge in training in getting the best out of site personnel in all aspects of rescue is extremely valuable as he has trained people from emergency response volunteers to senior management leadership teams.
