Previous to the construction industry I worked for an airport maintenance company for 9 years where I started at the bottom working my way up to Foreman covering airports across Scotland, England and the Western Isles. Here I was involved in the construction of airport hangers, runway maintenance/repairs, runway lighting, taxiway projects aswell as drainage, concrete panel replacement, runway/taxiway painting and general upkeep of the airport buildings. There are multiple things I could carry into the Oil & Gas industry such as knowledge of permit to work systems along with risk assessments and working to strict health and safety procedures.
