Andrew Maliphant’s Expertise THE COMMUNITY WORKS I have successfully led teams in community-based regeneration in market towns, a city centre and the urban fringe, developing and delivering partnership projects with outside organisations and community groups. I specialise in community-based development work, and in partnership projects bringing together people from the public, private, voluntary and community sectors. Much of what I have learnt through working with local communities is contained in The Local Regeneration Handbook, published by Sage Publications in October 2017. Whether you are a community-based organisation, or another body needing to work with the local community, I can bring over twenty years’ experience to help your venture succeed. I offer a planning, funding, project management and community involvement service, with free initial advice. Please call me on 01594 544456 or 07772 053778, or email me on [email protected] Recent successes include: • Business start-up support in the Forest of Dean • Community environment projects in Gloucestershire and Hampshire • Community land trust in Longhope, Gloucestershire • New social enterprises to run a library, a neighbourhood centre and a heritage centre • Office refurbishment for a staff of 30 people • Setting up a programme to reduce poverty and deprivation in Oxfordshire • Support for a range of social enterprises through the Big Potential programme • Town regeneration programmes in the Lake District and Gloucestershire I can also provide training in project management and community involvement. My networking strengths and varied work experience make me very comfortable working with new groups and individuals.
