Andrew Warton’s Expertise Andrew Warton is an experienced executive who is now employed as Managing Director of Warton Strategic. Andrew retired as Chief Officer of the Northern Territory Emergency Service (NTES) having also performed Senior Executive roles in the Northern Territory Fire & Rescue Service (NTFRS) through a period of transformational organisational change. Previously Andrew served with the AFP in several Australian States and Territories, and in a range of internationally based roles including Senior Police Liaison Officer, Project Management, Capacity Development and United Nations roles. His overseas service includes East Timor, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Solomon Islands, PNG and Samoa. Andrew has also undertaken operational police work in Indonesia, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland and the UK with a further a short-term attachment to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) in Canada. In additional to his operational policing, Andrew has represented Australia in United Nations forums in Dubai, Vienna and East Timor. Andrew's ambition is to contribute to emergency services and leadership through an Executive management career. Outside his professional life, Andrew Warton is an Officer in the Royal Australian Navy Reserve (RANR) with a primary qualification of Legal Officer. Andrew is also a keen recreational angler, the founder of The ofFISHal Angler fishing shirts, a co-founder of www.fishingcharterbase.com, and a writing contributor to Australian and international fishing magazines. He has contributed to WIN TV's "Fishing Australia" and until its recent ending was a regular contributor and ultimately co-presenter on ABC Radio's "Tales from the Tinny" show. Andrew was the founder of a police/community engagement project known as "Off the Hook", contributed to the founding year of Rob de Castella's "Indigenous Marathon Project" and is a strong believer in the power of mentoring relationships within the workforce, and in life.
