Andrew Wickens’s Expertise I was a lecturer in Psychology and Neuroscience at the University of Central Lancashire for 27 years but left in December 2017 to devote my time to writing. I am the author of several books including The Causes of Aging, Foundations of Biopsychology, A History of the Brain (which won the British Psychological Society's textbook of the year in 2017), and Key Thinkers in Neuroscience. My latest book is the fourth edition of Introduction to Biopsychology which was published in November 2021. I am now engaged on my most challenging book yet which will concern philosophy and neuroscience. When I am not writing I spend my time walking the fells which surround the area of Morecambe Bay. Specialties: Anything to do with the brain and mind (Neuroscience and Biopsychology) along with writing and lecturing.
