As an educator/administrator my role of education varies, but should remain coupled with the goal of enriching the lives of students. Posing as a prime example of what students will want to aspire to become, I have to be sure to model myself as an up lifting caregiver of their society. Education is currently experiencing some intense changes. Technology has transformed the way educators, and students communicate with and amongst themselves, as well as with the greater community. There needs to be a conversion from using technology in schools to using technology for learning. Teachers have to adapt, and be adept at making a student’s learning experience both meaningful and engaging. Teachers also need to recognize that technology has created new needs and new definitions of what it means to be literate in an ever changing society. However, just being literate is not enough; students must develop their curiosity, creativity, communication skills and critical thinking. It is my goal to lead an educational institution that is willing to become an innovative learning experience for children and have the determination to produce good citizens of various communities.
