I qualified as an ACA with Arthur Andersen, following an early sponsorship with Lucas Aerospace. Working with Boots global operations at an early age gave me the chance to participate in a diverse International world when European harmonisation and all of the ensuring challenges were just a vision. My career thus split between years of Finance Director roles alongside IT transformational projects to Managing Director, Executive Director and Business Development. I moved into General Management in 2006 when an opportunity arose with a significant loss maker requiring Customer and People leadership to drive its turnaround. This move into a Customer facing leadership role allowed me to develop new and strong skills around Food Innovation, Business Development, leading Manufacturing transformation and change. Whilst working in the Seafood sector I was Chair of the Humber Seafood Institute. A huge compliment as a relative newcomer to this sector showing the positive impact fresh vision can create. I joined Samworth Brothers Group Board in May 2014 following a short period as MD of one of the group businesses. Working on the Board of one of the most prestigious private and branded businesses was rewarding and challenging. The reputation of Samworth Brothers is widely known for quality food production and excellent people values. Two things which I am proud to have lived my life with as key values. Great Business. Jwe
