Antti Haahti’s Expertise Antti Haahti is Professor of Tourism at the University of Lapland Rovaniemi. Professor Haahti was nominated to the Leif Lundblad Chair in Business Administration, a professorship in entrepreneurship research, School of Business, University of Stockholm 25.1.1999. He was Professor of Service Entrepreneurship from 1996-1998, and an Assistant Professor of Strategic Management from 1993 – 1996 at the University of Tampere. He initiated the multidisciplinary research tutorials within the Finnish Network University of Tourism. In1999 he succeeded together with colleagues to establish Tourism Research as a multidisciplinary academic major leading to the Master and Doctor degrees in Social Sciences. There are over 20 Ph.D. candidates presently enrolled in the doctoral program of Tourism Research, and several others who will defend their dissertations at partner universities. He is actively developing an international program in tourism. Professor Haahti has co-authored several scientific books and published in more 30 scientific journal articles and more than 100 conference papers. His practical experience is from managing a small family summer hotel. Professor Haahti is fully committed to this proposal as a coordinator of EXPERIENCE STRATOS research program. This program will facilitate research exchange and comparative studies between researchers representing European, African, American and Asian countries.
