Bob has earned a B.S. in Business and an M.S. in Public Administration and is a graduate of the Army War College, National Defense University, the Defense Language Institute (Vietnamese and Thai) and the University of North Carolina’s Southeast Public Health Leadership Institute. He was recognized with a 2018 Homeland Security Today Heroes Mission Award, a Virginia National Guard Bronze Star for COVID-19 Service, and as a CDC Public Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Trailblazer in 2022.
