Once fully qualified, I accepted an assignment with the Fix-It-Now group, gaining further insight into equipment operation. After 5 years of field operation, I pursued a Licensed Reactor Operator position and qualified about 2 years later. I enjoyed expanding my responsibilities of plant control and operation to include safe and reliable operation of the Reactor and Balance of Plant systems. After 6 years of this, I decided to pursue an oversight role by attaining a Senior Reactor Operating License. I want my desire to work safely, knowledgeably, and reliably to be used to better my plant and department by modelling these practices that I learned. On a personal note, though I am in many ways flawed, I love my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Despite these flaws, He has been good and faithful to me, allowing me to mature as a man and a worker and a leader, in and out of the workplace. And as He demonstrates how a leader is firm but understanding, uncompromising but merciful, demanding but sharing in the burden, I pray I can surely though slowly emulate Him, my God.
