  I am a Quality Engineer at Pratt and Whitney Canada in Wichita Falls, Texas. I started in a summer internship program. I was ver lucky to be the only intern out of four that was hired to stay on. I worked in Quality as an intern, but also worked closely with process engineers and the Furnace engineer on several projects. While being an intern for two full years, I managed other Summer interns the following years and many group projects, I participated in Kaizen events (Lean manufacturing), and DIVEs (root cause investigations). At 18 months the internship was supposed to end, but my supervisor and management worked with corporate to allow me to stay on. Once graduated with my mechanical engineering degree from Midwestern State University in 2018 I was immediately hired at Pratt and Whitney after management once again worked with corporate to remove the “mandatory 3 year experience” clause. At our Pratt and Whitney facility, we repair airplane hot section components. I’m a Quality Engineer that works daily with the operators, other engineers, and management to achieve excellence in all our parts. I have an FAA repairman’s card that allows for chief inspection. I am qualified for internal audits using the ISO9001 and the AS9110 standards. I am also now a supervisor of about 25 associates in quality. I continue to grow in responsibilities and skills. I work hard to maintain a great working relationship to continue bridging that dangerous gap between employees and management while maintaining the standards for quality, EHS, Operations and finance. It is important to me that our whole facility work as a team. I am a people person who loves to get involved and work with others. I make every effort to obtain input and feedback from everyone in a team when making changes. I pride myself on good working relationships. I am hoping to continue adding value to the company by obtaining NDT Level 3 certification in FPI (Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection). While I work toward that goal I am also attending Graduate classes at MSU Texas for a Masters. I plan to graduate with my MBA in Spring 2024. I am a happy person.
