With AbbVie, I have spent time with the CQV Engineering division along with the project and facilities engineering team. Working on both regulatory qualifications on equipment and projects leading to further optimizations and containment for our operators' safety. I have had the opportunity to travel abroad while studying to be an engineer. For a 10 day period, I traveled with a group of other engineering students to Ireland. There, we were able to explore 3 different cities, visit universities, and sit in on guest lectures. The key take away from this experience was visualizing and encountering the cultural barriers in an international and professional setting. Being meta-cognitive while interacting with professionals in an unfamiliar space is a skill I will take with me through the years. With the knowledge and experience I've gained through being a student, co-op, and professional, the commonality is that they have ushered me into a character who is adaptable to adverse situations by finding creative and innovative solutions.
