Brian Kavanagh’s Expertise I am a lecturer in Digital Innovation in the Digital Humanities Department at King's College, London where I convene our MA in Digital Asset and Media Management programme, which is one of the largest programmes across the college (currently we have 180 students). In January 2011 I joined the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Group at Imperial College Business School where my research focuses on organisational responses to discontinuous radical innovations. My work is theoretically framed within the institutional and disruptive innovation literature and my fieldwork involves working with a number of high-profile non-profit performing organisation operating in the classical music sector. For example, the London Symphony Orchestra, the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Royal Opera House. At the Bridgeman Art Library I had two roles both of which involved project management. My main role involved managing a 2.4 million pound project that investigated the role of digital technologies in the delivery of education in school in the UK. This project was sponsored by the TSB (technology strategy board) and involved with with a technology partner and an academic partner (open university).Headed up a small web design/development team.
